That is what I have heard recently as well. Good name Here is the shot from the other direction. The cab stands out a tad better.
Caboose hop: CP MLW RS18 #8780 with a big yellow caboose. My Dad's slice, October 1982 at Ste-Thérèse.
Neat stuff from you as always @ZosoRailway. There's a book out there on the Tuckerton by John Brinckmann, c. 1992 that you might have. I'd have never known about this railroad if I hadn't spent some summer weekends at Beach Haven, NJ (as seen at the bottom of the map) and researched long-gone lines down that way as a result. Service to Long Beach Island ended in '35 and the Tuckerton shut in '40
Lived in Watertown at 6-12 years old from 1974-1980 do remember only some of the trestles that still had old track, but otherwise that track was long gone
After years of trying, last week I finally captured a decent shot of a BNSF unit leading an NS freight. My distant hope then changed to snagging a KCS unit, a far rarer event out here in the east. In fact, I'd never seen a KCS unit. So, what should happen this overcast morning? NS 242 arrived with two KCS units leading. I couldn't believe my good fortune. Even included some wisteria in the frame, a welcome sign of spring.
Not KCS but KSCX, a graffiti-free woodchip hopper owned by Kapstone Paper en-route to its paper mill in North Charleston, SC is seen with others at Columbia, SC on 03/11/2023.
Went to Billings for the Wife's wrist surgery, went well, and we chased a bit of MRL, First catch was enjoying hearing some 567's idling away at night by the yard office, Then on Tue before we left, caught a GP35 switching, more 567 action!
