This CP Pacman 'Deuce trailed in an H12 CP local job switching in the Minot CP/Soo Line yard this week.

A couple of ECO units and a GP38 were in the power set:

The 5970 went through a sequence of changes in ownership similar to that of the 5976 (CR, NS, CSX), with the exception that it ended up in SC on the Pickens RR:

Well thanks! Decide to roll by at like 9:30 in the morning, so working with the super bright morning sun (and the unusually cramped yet almost empty platforms) requires a bit of work. It helps that the paint was only a few days old too!

Back in 1983, who ever would have guessed that several decades later SCL Family Lines H15 #2 (ex-SAL SDP35 #1104) would look like this:

Beautiful paint scheme. Is this a current operation? More info?

Now that is a memory jog! Watched so many of them as a kid dragging those cool side windows along as the Falcon's blew through town!

It is, but it was also exaggerated somewhat with the use of an ultrawide lens.

MP 2307 survives as UP 807.
Look closely and you can observe the ghost of the old MP roadnumber on the side of the cab.

Oooh, oooh, a train. Quick, where's my camera. Another shot in the rail-fanning at 70 miles per hour category.
