    KCS Gulfport (MS) Branch, Hattiesburg Turn coming home, 4/19/2008. Running on 90# jointed rail laid down in the 1920s. Since replaced with 115# CWR, and speed limit raised to 49 mph from 10 mph.

    Yep, you sure can. Good catch. I think NS 3231 has since had its high hood chopped. I'm thinking that none of NS's SD-40-2s remain in service with high hoods, but I could be wrong.
