Railroad Mishaps

    Probably nobody from the railroad was around. Sometimes when a crew goes "Dead on the law" a van picks them up but a new crew is not dropped off at the same time. Imagine the fresh crew getting off a van and finding one of their engines on the ground without ever leaving the rails. [​IMG] :eek: [​IMG]

    This happened in a town where I spent 4 years while growing up. Back then it was the Boston & Maine but appears to be some short line now.

    Well, you are not the only one who 'likes' making model railroading so real: [​IMG]
    This happened with an ore train at our club layout. The train derailed, cars broke in pieces, and then we got the BN emergency crew to clear the road. And everything is on film! :D

    Don't know how I missed this thread. Here's one that happened 65 years ago in my home town. The only New York Central Hudson, 5315, lost in service, until Perlman decided to cut the other 249 of them up. :(

    Yes, it was from the blast. If you look at the first picture, you can see the fire still burning in the background.
