Looks like it's from here: http://www.tsb.gc.ca/en/media/photo_database/rail/R03V0083/R03V0083_thumbs.asp
I love ths picture. I look it up every time I feel like I am having a bad day. Since it is a DPU, that means no one got injured? Bonus!
This is more about surviving mishaps, but interesting nonetheless. http://www.fra.dot.gov/us/content/640 Tim
Very interesting page Tim. For the loco fans, check out the crash-test loco, a tunnel motor with a mockup safety cab added!
Oops???? Boxcab E50 </font>[/QUOTE]Yep, that's what happens when you get operators running on DCC and get distracted by the crowds... Bang! Cornfield meet! Harold
In 1948 the Super Chief engines were disconnected from the train at Los Angeles Union Station and were in the process of being switched onto the middle track between platforms to be taken for servicing. The crew got confused and plowed over the bumpers, across the pavement and through the concrete railing.
I just LOVE this one: Nothing against CSX, but this site is HILARIOUS!!!! http://www.csx-sucks.com/pictures/
Another classic, what happens when you steam clean a car,a nd then seal it immediately: Also from CSX-Sucks.com:
That last CSX-Sucks!! picture, what happened there? The divits in the rails look like the locomotive was in RUN-8 and standing still?!?! And those Conrail pics, was that from a blast or are they just part of a "blowin the doors off these" sale!!
