Blue Mountain Drive Now that we are out of the Tunnel District, Lisa is back in action taking photographs again. Here she catches the train out her window as we approach Blue Mountain Drive and then turns and take a shot out the other window as we cross Blue Mountain Drive of the engines just before they disappear again around the next corner. Using Google Earth, I was able to determine that the tree in the first shot is at "[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Arial, Helvetica]39°52'33.42"N 105°16'45.47"W[/FONT]" which even plots the location of where the photograph was taken even tighter. Big 10 Loop As we make our way around Big 10 Loop, Lisa gets a nice angle and starts clicking off images. These 4 are what I have selected out of 16 she took just on this single curve of the track. Arvada Now that we have completed the slide, we start back into the city and the track straightens out, so Lisa will take a break. Into North Yard & Beyond... This will be my final video clip for this topic as we start off entering North Yard. We will first pass by the Critter Yard We will then make our right-hand turn at UTAH Jct, which takes us into BN TOFC Intermodal Yard where I will also catch Lisa extreme busy taking photographs out her window that I will be posting soon. As we cross under I-70, we enter into BN Renick Yard where I will catch a couple of Great Northern cars amougest the cars sitting here. We then pass FOX Jct, before passing over 38th Ave. and then pass PROSPECT Jct. where we will begin our big Left-Hand turn over the South Platte River. North Yard As I mentioned earlier, as we entered the North Yard, Lisa was once again busy taking photographs. When I say busy, I mean busy; just as the Ski Train makes that right-hand turn into the yard, Lisa takes 22 shots of the engines coming into the yard alone. North Yard At this point, we have just gone under the 48th Avenue bridge and passed Clear Creek JCT. Lisa next catches this Light Tower just before we cross under Interstate 70. Prospect JCT As we pass Prospect JCT, Lisa gets busy again. At this point, the train begins it's left turn toward BN 31st St. Yard. Lisa will take advantage of this and takes several shots of the line that is heading south; including BNSF#4693. After coming out from under the road, she also catch a roster shot on BN Hopper #536355. Hidden behind all this is a turn-table that is 110 feet in length.
