I mdon't have pictures, but can describe to you what I am blessed with here in BC for railfanning. The Fraser Canyon is a fav. of mine, about 2 hours away. The North Side of the canyon is CPR for the most part, and CN on the east. There are easily 55 trains aday per side. The Canadian Rocky Mountaneer, and alot of cool trains make there way along. The Cisco bridge is the real high point! There is also a really cool CPR bridge near it. Most of the stuff to run through does a good 25-40 MPH, depending on the day. There is a large amount of coal, and stack trains, but you also find all sorts of other equipment. On my last trip I was mad cuase I missed a train and thought it would be awhile before I saw another, well, 10 minutes later CN Extra "5544" roared through with a Seattle Sounder car in consist! It is a great place, and a railfan must see! Happy Railroading! Dane N. ------------------ TAMR2860-AKA BC Rail King TAMR2860@Canada.com for TAMR info. To send a general TRAIN! I have fond memories of driving through the Fraser canyon and seeing the awesome railroading through this area. In one way it was good that there was competition between the CP and CN to have trackage on both sides of the river. It has made grand rail fanning possible but just think of the waste in effort when both could have shared common trackage. We railfans benefit however. To bad you don't have pictures. Robin
Hey BC, thank you for this recommendation. I come to British Columbia for holidays in july and I can`t wait see the trains in the Fraser Canyon. Maybe I can take some pictures for you. Regards,a Railfan from Switzerland

Dane ... I pass thru the Frasier Canyon every 2 years enroute to Yukon Territory to go trout fishing. You are absolutely right about the scenery and the saturation of train traffic along the river. Oh yeah .. Alan suggested that you get your dad to buy you a camera .. make it a digital camera! *grin* ------------------ Bill "Get Goosed on the Yreka Western"
I'm loaded with Camera's, and have a CD being burned right now with Canyon pics! I am think I have 2 good ones, a good one for taking on the Hudson (its small, and hard for people to steal), and one that I got when I was 5 Happy Railroading! Dane N. PS-I should have a cover shot on the HOTBOX of the Fraser Canyon, caught a AC4400CW going under Cisco as another CPR train was on Cisco! ------------------ TAMR2860-AKA BC Rail King TAMR2860@Canada.com for TAMR info.
