Thanks, guys, for some more fine photography. BNSF Fan, where was that photo taken and is that an airport and hangars in the background? Us old aviation types need to know. And Railmix posted a shot of "my" engine.

Here you go Fitz That is a small airport in the back ground - Cobb County International Airport McCollum Field. Runway is 6305 ft. It is designated as a reliever airport for Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Cobb County is also the primary general aviation airport for the Atlanta suburban population. With an average of 475 takeoffs and landings each day, it is the third most trafficked airport in Georgia. Georgia State Patrol and an a medical helicopter company also call it home. And yes, you read that right, "International", you can actually board commercial aircraft for flights to destinations outside the good ole U S of A

Sigh. The fan magazines accurately refer to many eastern lines as a "tunnel of trees" where good photography is nearly impossible. An earlier generation had to contend with pole lines, while we are happy to find a view of any kind.

Wow, I had missed the date on the first photo of 2004. 16 years of trees makes a huge difference.
