I came across an old laptop using DOS 6 and Win 3.11 . And would like to use it with Railcommand. However all the new software for Railcommand requires Win 95 and up. Would anyone know where I could find an older program that will run Railcommand? Thanks in advance. Spencer
Not sure what you mean be this statement? I might first suggest looking at upgrading the operating system to XP if that laptop can handle it.
Hi, Thanks to those whom responded. I picked up the laptop for free, and it is old enough not to be able to upgrade. I'm was just trying to find a use for it, and remembered that my Railcommand console had a serial port. Since Railcommand has been around a while, I thought someone might have an old Railcommand program lying around that I could purchase. CVP seems to ignore people that purchased Railcommand second hand. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion. Spencer
Not a problem. I too came across some old laptops not that long ago but once I found out what it would cost to make them useful I gave them up. With how fast things change today these old pieces of equipment just loss their purpose too fast. It's hard to say if there is anyone here that might be able to sell you an old version or not so best of luck on that. By the way, WELCOME to TrainBoard!!!!!!
