I'm currently in Orlando area for a few more weeks and saw where there is a hobby shop called H&R Trains in the St. Pete / Tampa area.

Wondered if it is worth the trip over there to check it out. I'm in N Scale and am in need of houses and miscellaneous buildings. Does anyone know if they carry a lot of this type of item. Not really in need of a lot of rolling stock yet, just scenery items. Orlando area is a bit thin in the way of hobby shops with N Scale.

Any other locations within a max. 2 hr. drive of Orlando would be OK. Any further than that and I get real tight on time with my work schedule.

Been there many, many, times as I used to live very close by. There not as good as they once were and the last time I was there they had a very limited amount of N scale. Their selection has dwindled over the years as they only carry "stuff that sells". Don't blame them there as they do not have an internet presence and have to survive, but it is dissapointing considering the amount of nscale that is out there. It is a nice store and fairly large, but again...nscale is lacking. The only building kits I've seen were the Walthers Cornerstone variety It's been awhile since I've been there though.

For Orlando...really the only place to go...is Colonial Photo and Hobby. For as small as their train area is...they have some good stuff. I go there every so often.
