PTRA's New Paint Scheme

I thought some might like to see the new paint on our fleet of MK1500D locomotives, I know the Port Terminal Railroad Association in Houston, Tx is not the most well known terminal rairoad in the world but we are doing out best to update our image.

Original paint since we bought the 24 MK1500D locomotives in 1996 has been blue with silver stripes and no name on the engines.

Here is the 9601 a week before moving into the paint shop.




And a couple of weeks later, here she is in fresh paint working her first assignment on the lead at North Yard.

 

She needs some weathering... doesn't look prototypical

Very sharp paint job.

 

That almost looks like an Army scheme. Cool.
