So, I bought this really neat etched metal chain link fence with security wire on top.

So I decided to try just a bit between building flats on the west branch track. I know I want the gate just for coolness. Installed the gate. Measure the rest of the gap, too far for the posts to line up with the buildings. I know, I’ll build a small utility extension on the side of the building.

Built the extension, but boy that space needs something in there..... I build a crate and put it on a pallet.

so 2 and a half hours later..... I stop for the night. Still more needs to be in there.

Liking this but I think the wildlife can still get in there.

    Dale, the fence looks great.

The first thing that comes to my mind about what could be in the space is some 55 gallon barrels and maybe a trash bin. Just a thought.

Hi Vince, possibly in the future. I ought to look at obtaining a couple of GE 44 ton locos. Those were the original units the port used. I may want to back date sometime.

    Wow Dale,
You have done some amazing modeling here, This latest scene is spot on. That tunnel looks a lot like a couple I have driven thru west of DV. Good job I say!!

    Hi Tom,

Thank you very much! I was actually thinking of the portals through Glenwood on some of that! The highway section that is!

    Thank you!

Soon to be sporting the black and red Port of Catoosa livery. It won’t pull much but makes up for it in character.....

Well I’ve decided Tuloma Stevedoring needs a proper bridge crane. I have 1 more beam to do them I can finish painting the crane and then put the finish to the dock. Unfortunately, the aisle is a bit narrow on that side so I made the crane a bit shorter in how it extends over the water. I will have an undersized barge there to complete the scene.

    more soon!

    thanks,
    Dale

we are getting close guys. I have some fine tuning to do, I don’t like the way the crane sits on the beams.

    thanks!

It’s not quite square and the runners for the crane wheels are a bit too wide. Not anything real dramatic. Just need to spend a little time with it.

    I’ll have it shipshape soon.

    For Vince P!
Quite a bit more work to do here but it’s starting to take shape. I had to compress the barge dimensions a bit so I would still have aisle width to work with.

    Thanks for looking!
