thanks for all the help. Bing maps are much better then google. im having sum luck finding photos of the yard i was planing on using the CN Toronto yard. but this yard seems to have much more to model and its more practical for my 12x11 room. i have a roundhouse and turn table, both Walters, but im thinking i might cut the roundhouse out on my layout, just for the simple fact of the space a roundhouse takes up. i could however place the round house in a corner and build on a curve, which schematically is no change but a little off from the real yard. any ideas or thoughts on this, and/or how might you go about building the Johnston yard?
