Our club has a small installation that runs a GML Enterprises DC walk-around throttle with dual pulse mode (probably model # PL-2). On this throttle, can-motor locos run smoothly in any of the 3 pulse options (1-OFF-2). However, there is a Pacific Fast Mail Mallet with an open frame motor that stutters on this system. It appears to cog in any of the 3 pulse options with varying speeds of cogging depending upon the pulse mode and pulse level set by the min-max adjustment knob. While this loco has difficulty running on the GML throttle, it runs smoothly on an MRC Tech II Dualpower 2800 throttle. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
