    Hi all,

I have a couple of spots on my new layout where I want to be able to move trains back and forth between two parallel mainline tracks.

Looks like I can either use Peco's code 55 double scissor (SEL-383f) or 4 standard turnouts.

The double scissor will accomplish what I need in a shorter run of track, and I believe regardless of which parts I use I'll still need 4x frog juicers and 4x switch machines.

One of these crossovers will be easily accessible, the other will be behind scenery in the back of the layout.

Aside from cost and space, is there anything else I should consider when determining which one to go for please? I have not had experience with any Peco stuff except their flex track and unifrog turnouts so far.

    thank you very much.

The Peco Double Crossover has only one connection for a powered frog if I recall correctly, you do not need 4 juicers for it, just one
