Don't know if anyone here has been to Evansville, IN, specifically to AA Hobby Shop, home of the Old Train Man, Jack Henderson.

Jack passed away this past Wednesday at the age of 96 years and 50 weeks. He ran the store 6 days a week until about the end of March. Business was not great but he still kept the store open as it was his life, especially after his wife died in 1999.

    RIP Jack.

Sorry to hear that. Did the store close?
It reminds me of the old LHS here on Charleston, the owner passed away just a few years ago. The family has kept the business going but with his passing it is only a vague shell of the place it once was.

The daughter closed the store for the interim, when he went to the nursing home the first week of April, but is trying to sell it as a going business. Not much chance for that though so I'm sure it will be gone. She was selling stuff a couple of days in early April for 50% so I doubt there is much left. Would be the same as you mentioned because the family (daughter) has no clue about the hobby business much else trains.
