I think we did this once before, but since I was out and about with my new Nikon D-50 and the nearest steam engine happened to be in a park in Corvallis, OR, I HAD to shoot it. Here is the first steam loco photographed with the D-50, Georgia Pacific 2-8-2 No. 5. Conditions were terrible. Near noon, surrounded by trees leafing out and casting weird shadows. Nikon did good. Let's see YOUR park engines.
Oh yeah That's a great shot. I never got to see her before they did THIS to her. As you say, abominable shelter. We have both posted the same engine. Yo, so did Russell and Darren.
I blew some of the scenic photos up to 8X10, and man, am I impressed with that D-50. I cannot WAIT to go shoot some real steam in action in a few weeks. LOVE the camera. :kiss2:
