    Thanks Harold, I think it is one of the old Planters plants in the background. It was taken directly across from the Suffolk depot. An awsome spot for watching trains!

    I know exactly where you are talking about. Great spot, but I haven't been back up that way in almost 10 years. My favorite memory from that spot was seeing the BN SD60MAC demonstrator set pass through town pulling a stack train :eek:

    Here's a NS cab I caught back in 1993. I dated in wrong on the pic. The interior was stripped off all except the bay seats, toolbow & stationary cabinet. 2x4's lined the walls for additional seating.

    As far as I know, all of the ex-Sou cabs converted for ballast use are all gone. I could be wrong on this. There are three regular Sou cabs in NC still in use that I know of.
