Been dabbling for years and just when I think I have it all figured out I move and well the layout does not fit in the new home, but with my age 67 and some health concerns I have decided to come back to the railroad. I live in a place called Cushing, WI known for the fabulous beer joints Suzyq's Snowshoe Tavern and the infamous Dugout. Going to be a cold and long winter and hibernation is not in the cards.
Hi Jimmy, Welcome to the train board, happy to have you on board. Glad to hear that you've come back to model railroading, something I've done three or four times since 1947. Each return was more enjoyable, though I don't think I'll leave this time, at least not voluntarily. BTW, I don't think I'll join you in WI. Last time I heard, someone had left the back door open and the Alberta Clipper blew through. <gr>
Welcome to TrainBoard! Quite a few of us have health issues, myself included. This hobby is great therapy, and perfect for being indoors, all year around. I'm sure you'll be happy to have returned to enjoying this pastime.
Hello WisconsinJimmy, I see you live in the great northwest....of WI:teeth: I'm new here, too. I am from Oconto but born and raised in Eau Claire. Hey, stay warm this week, gonna be brutal out there. :frustrated: Cheers, Dan
