The current issue of "Classic Trains" has a 3-1/4 page article on the original Norfolk-Southern merged into the Southern Rwy. in 1974. Interesting read.
I seem to recall Railfan & Railroad had an article, many years ago. Memory says there were photos of the Baldwin diesels, etc. Seem at all familiar?
I'm with you Boxcab, believe it was in the mid, late 70's. I know I had a copy but it went with the rest of my mags to the local model railroad club. It was one of what I call a "welterweight" among the old Class Is. I've been tempted several times to model it especially with Bowser putting out the Baldwins in both schemes. But the 3 I already model, do I need a fourth .... ?
