Hey guys, I was just looking around BLI's website and found that they updated the N-scale with drawings of the E6s: http://www.broadway-limited.com/paragon2emde6ande72010.aspx Also their delivery schedule lists these and E7/8/9 comming: So it seems we have the 1st run of E6s, 3rd run of E7s, and 2nd Run of E8/9s comming soon. Let's just see if they follow through:tb-wink:. Brian
You can't fit a round window in a square hole. Sorry, couldn't resist.:tb-rolleyes: I'd like to see them take the plunge and do some of their HO steam in N. The E6 will give me a decent ATSF passenger diesel fleet but a 2-10-2 to take the siding to let them pass would be nice.
Well, it's official, straight from the horses mouth, the Missouri Pacific shells will be wrong, and BLI doesn't care; my email to them http://www.railwayclassics.com/images/MP01/E6 7003 Open Pilot.jpg BLI response after all the flak they took over the E8 PRR trainphone being the wrong color.......
So, $400 bucks for a set and "Sorry for the bad news, but it sounds like this model is not the best choice for you." Come on.
OK River Eagle - 'Fess up. How did you do that? It's neat. The same applies to some of the E-6s that UP had. Terry
Sorry to hear your bad news. Makes you wonder why they would pick MP as a paint scheme when they were going to make such a obvious mistake, then the 'if our model's not good enough for you, go somewhere else' attitude says a lot about them. They could at least explain why they couldn't do the round portholes, if it was going to cost too much why not just not do MP. I'm sure there are plenty of other E6 schemes that are correct for the body they could have done in it's place.
Their E8-As would be correct for MP paint, mopac even rewoked their E7 A and B units to match the 8s, so the E8-B would still be close enough, and would make me a happy camper. Why they picked the E6 (and I didn't even bring up the headlight is also wrong) if they weren't going to do it right, the world will never know.... for now, at least, they are showing only single headlight version, MP7003 had dual head/mars light setup.
