    hello,

I'm new to G scale and have been an HO scaler for many years. I have been looking for a track plan to fit a 12x35' room. Anyone got any ideas?

    Way to go Sean.

I "crossed over" myself a couple of years ago. In fact after 25+ years in N scale it was an even bigger jump. But I landed soft and never had more fun in my life. See www.wvrr.ca

The space you have to work with is more than I started with so there should be lot's of railroad in there. Just remember, even though your scale is four times HO your arms aren't four times longer. A three foot wide "bench" is still just about the max. Point two: If you plan to run narrow gauge steam a two foot radius is great but if you plan to run modern six axel diesels you'll need the manufacturers suggested eight foot dia track. So plan ahead.

There are at least three great books on the market and plenty osf sites on line.

    Good luck.

    Dave
