New hire question?

Hello all, great forum, seems to be some great advice/discussion going on here.

I have a question. I was extended a conditional offer to become a conductor trainee with BNSF. I completed all of my consent forms, my pre-employment medical questionnaire (over the phone) and faxed supporting documents, and finally my strength test last Thursday.

However, since my strength test I haven't heard anything about moving forward with my physical.

How long does this process typically take? I'm feeling like something may have went wrong, but perhaps I am worrying for nothing.

    Thanks in advance.

As an Human Resources Manager I can tell you a phone call never hurts.

Hi ChicoState, Welcome to the TrainBoard, we're glad that you're on board...and I hope you hear the same from BNSF soon. I can't give you any advice about RR hiring, but many TB members are RR employees, I believe some with BNSF, so you should have some answers soon. BTW, John's advice is spot on, just don't over do it. I was a hiring manager for many years and preferred to hire folks who had the initiative to follow up and check status every 5-7 days.
