Welcome to TrainBoard! Greetings from Montana!

Are you strictly going to collect? Perhaps also build a layout? How much space is available? Whatever you choose, just have fun. :)

Welcome aboard! N-scale is nice (not that I'm biased or anything...). :)

Will probably build a layout. Don't want to use to much room so any leaning towards N scale.

Hi Shepherd, Welcome to the TrainBoard. I agree that N-Scale allows you to create the appearance of a large system in a small area. However, we are happy to support and help with whatever scale and plan you choose.

If you do choose N, please be sure to share your progress. Design, construction, golden spike.... :)

We have some very good talent in the N Forum area, who can help with designs, etc, if desired.
