need to find info on UPs aux tender on 3985

Ok this casting thing gonna take some practice,Iv casted 3 and got one more in the mold rite now.1st 3 have flaws-mainly air bubbles in top ,fixable but not perfect,sides did come out great .I gotta order more resin and rubber to make more items for this model-ill keep ya posted

 

hi Dan, I havn't check in for awhile but it looks like you are making some great progress.

 

Ya I got 4 bodys made sitting here with primer on them,im waiting on PSC for detail parts to finish making frames,etc. I figure id wait only to make sure when i have the trucks that i dont build the bolster to high or low. All the decals,paint come in so just waiting

 

ok I got my parts ,but one of the trucks has missing parts,so im still waiting,I hope to get this model done soon ,ill keep ya posted

Hey all,I ordered more parts after Alaska GP49 post -that picture gives great insite on detail. Also apperently upp 809 water emerged from its make over Dee Das posted some of those images in UP 3985 in Minnesota - TrainBoard.com

 

Did you ever finish this project? If so, could we please see photos of the finished product?

 

I have not finished it at the moment,i just moved so everything still in boxes,im hoping after the dust settles i can get back to the model,ill post soon
