Thats awesome !! Thank you for the kind words. I've been watching yours for a while too. Pretty invested to see how the bridge turns out! Looks just like the picture. I'm def doing a shelf layout when I get into another project ! Happy sunday !

Installing the feeder wires has provided to be a bigger job than I expected, the mainline has 14 sections of track. Most of it is flex and a few turnouts, had to cut some of it out when I replaced module 05. By doing so there are four short sections of track, two on each end of the bridge. Sadly I won't be able to make a video today, will finish the feeders and do the video tomorrow.

Didn't get to work on the layout as much as I wanted to today but progress was made. I got all of the feeder wires installed except four that are located where the main span and north tower meet. Called it good enough for the day around 9:45pm after a couple hours of work. The four wires are in a really tight spot because of the bridge structure and I was starting to hurt from standing so I decided to stop before I made a critical error. Soldering iron and plastic don't get along very well. Haha

Take your time Joe. Getting those voids filled under the risers and your electrical stuff right is more important. They will both made your videos better.

Yesterday I wasn't able to work on the layout but I made up for it today. I finished connecting the feeder wires and did a couple of test runs with a short train. Still have two spots to fix before I make a video. Have decided to run a passenger train for the video because I went to N scale to be able to run passengers. Look for a video tomorrow afternoon or evening.

I received the winch end plates in the mail today, they're perfect for the bridge project. Thank you very much Stephane for your help!!! Will make the winches tomorrow afternoon and post a photo. Today I'm working on getting the layout ready to video which should be ready early this evening. In the process of installing the hand held throttle that I built several years ago.

I think the parts were held up at the border because of the virus.

    Thank you again Stephane.

I finally got the video done, having trouble downloading it here so if you will go to YouTube and search for "Frisco Arkansas River Bridge Project". Will keep trying to figure it out in the mean time.

Thank you MK for your help with the video.

All but a few of my posts are done on my ZTE Blade smart phone and we don't have internet access on my laptop. Will go to the library next time I want to download a video.

Today's project is to make the winches and do some more work on the bridge. After that I will start installing scenery on module 05. Time to go to the train room and get to work, will post progress later today.

Today I made the winches, installed the building in the middle of the bridge and did scenery on module 05. Will run the cables for the bridge and touch up anything that needs it tomorrow afternoon. It was a great day and made a lot of progress. This bridge project has really helped me get back into working on the layout after a period of stagnation.

I use Atlas insulated rail jointers and paint them black before installing ballast. This means that I have to install feeder wires to every piece of track which is what I was going to do anyway. It's a highly recommend tip by several members on the TrainBoard and Frisco websites.

They are much easier for me to install to the rails,, my hands are not in the best shape after time spent riveting aircraft.

For about a hour was working on the winches, counterbalances, bridge structure and cables. Hàve most of the major parts cut and ready to install. Will continue after dinner and post the days progress later tonight.
