I really like the look of weathered concrete portal and wall next to it.

Dang, that's a sad picture. We've all been there, that moment is always tough.

All brick and concrete are printed. The source for the brick are images from real concrete walls. The brick is from a jpg I found somewhere. All are manipulated in Photoshop.
You will find some othere areas in the blog where I also have used printed rasterfiles.

Thanks. It is very impressive and realistic looking. The transition from one material to the other is convincing. Jim

Sven, As I am retiring now, moving to a large house will finally *let* me make a layout, I feel sad for you. It is not fun,at all.
Mickie and I will make an effort next year to visit you and the ZMOD friends once again, around Altenbeken time.

I have some used Wright turnouts from a layout ages ago, do you have use for them?

Yes, that would be nice. I am very interested in this turnouts. I used to use some of them years ago. Regards, SveinM

Very nice benchwork. But, Svein-Martin, I don't really understand the trackplan. It seems you have two levels, connected via one long stretch at the back (which I guess is really good - not too steep a slope...); and each level has a reverse loop. However, neither is to be reached coming from the other level; to get into the reverse loop, the train has to first reverse direction. Which makes the reverse loops pointless....? I am pretty sure I am overlooking something, but please fill me in :)

    Hi Matt
    Thank you for Your response.
You are correct, there are 2 Levels. In the original plan, there were 2 independent Levels, not Connected to each other. Lower level is a single track loop. Upper level is a double track loop. With the hidden stations on both Levels, I could run several Trains. The mainidea With the layout is to show some action in a busy city, where the hidden tracks in the background is covered With many high houses, creating the sky line. As I say on my site, the layout id inspired by the City Edge Layout made by Vic Smith. Check out my blog: http://www.platelayer.com/new-layout-plans-zity-edge-layout.aspx

The other parts of the layout, like the transition track behind the hidden station, gives a possibillity to run Trains between the Levels. Instead of use up Space for a helix, I have the track at the back, With a Maximum grade of 2.4%.

I know that the current setup With the reverse loops are not ideal, and I may change them.
I still will develop that part more and do some changes. I love that part of the hobby, changing and develop layout ideas.
Thank you again for Your input.

Hey Svein-Martin, sounds good. Thanks for the link to the h0 layout provided in your blog, I had seen pictures of the layout, I believe in Model Railroader Magazine (?) some years ago but lost track of it, amazing layout. Dangerous to take an h0 layout as example for a Z scaler!
But hey, you've shown great modelling skills before, so I am sure it will be great. "Following" :)

Thank You. The lower level is Planned to go in the midle of A Street. In version 2 I had the Y-track , but removed that to give A longer track in The street. Just like in the City Edge layout giving me the inspiration on Zity Edge.
