Totally awesome! I have to say I’m in agreement that is another level!
Thank you. Yes, all LED's can be individually colored by software. Some buildings are divided in "rooms" so a few windows can be "manipulated". Other buildings may have only a few LED's. I will explain it in more detail later on my homepage..

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Check out the new article about using adresseable LED's on the layout, including some Arduino coding you can use.
I have been busy developing the Zity Edge Layout the last months, but have no new images at the moment, but I just finished an article about using adresseable LED's on the layout, that can be interesting for you all.

Thanks for sharing. Jim
Very nice layout!
Any tips to share regarding how you did the paved over tracks like the ones seen in this blog post?:
Thank you. I have created a new article today that explain how I created the roads.

There has been great progress on the layout the last months. Check out the new panorama image from the Zity Edge Layout, by day and by night.

Wow your lightning work is exquisite!
Thanks for putting up the blog post about paved tracks. I did some experimentation with layered cardboard yesterday and had some nice success. One thing I am struggling with is to find a good method for glueing the "between track" pieces to ensure enough gap for the wheels.
It was some trying and failing to cut the pavement correctly. I printed out what I want to use "between track", cut it using one edge of the track as a guide and cut the other side after I measured the correct width. With a sharp knife it worked and with the 200 gram paper it was not so difficult to glue it with whiteglue in between the rails.

Great. *very* simple concept.
I found a technique to emulate ‘panel’ structures (sign in front, framing behind, leaving a gap between) using some commercial protection pad sheets. This is similar to real world plastic that look like cardboard, used for lawn signs.
Some small boxes for consumers have this plastic coated or just plastic with a gap. Check some of you delivery boxes.
