Robert, can you provide the link. If you are making the decals, Just make sure to make extras. I am sure a lot people would want to buy some.

The cars can be Trailer Train (early) or TTX (current). They can be set up to carry containers. I did not do the collapsed hitch as a casting (maybe I should)

The container pedestals should be easy to produce from styrene to allow containers to be carried and the collapsed hitch could be made from the one supplied. (although if carrying a container, it would not be seen) ;)

FR sent me some decals for Gundersons, as they now use pad printing instead of decals. Unfortunately they are too big for spine cars. The logos have to be small enough to fit on the side of the wheel platforms.

I am working on offering decals. I hope to have more information in the next few weeks. Will will be using one of the smaller Z scale companies here in the US. Of course TTX will be the first offered!

I emailed some Corel drawings for TTX decals to Tim B. (Sgt. Tim) yesterday, as he said he will be making the decal sets.

I have been busy working on instructions for the 70 ton covered hopper kits, so I have not had the time to assemble my spine cars yet.

I did however, get my orders for truck from several manufacturers in. It looks like the trucks and trailers from Nansen Street are the best choice so far, to put on the spine cars.

I have not seen the 28 foot trailers from Mark4Design yet, but they I'm hoping they are available soon.

Well, its bad news. Good news. I am glad everything its coming together. Right now I am running the skeleton cars with containers from the Gunderson cars. I only have one of the skeleton cars with a trailer that I build from scrap part, but dont have any more scrap.
I think the skeleton cars looks better with a trailer then a container. I was looking through my videos, and the skeleton cars almost always carry trailers.

I was thinking about it... Märklin offered a set of containers that included 2 40' trailers. Anyone have these to try on the spine cars? I have a couple of sets, but do not have the spine cars yet. These sets also came with a variety of 40' and 20- containers. The 40's were typical European with doors on the sides. But from a foot back, they would work for a US train. The set is item 89010.

Well, let me try and turn that into good news... Nansen Street has the 40ft Tractor Trailer sets in 2 packs for $13.95 made out of cast metal! They have no trailers on them but they sell resin containers for $19.95 a set of 5 and those come with decals. They also have piggy stackers too.

Alan, can you get Mark to post a picture to wet our appetite. I am holding out for his trailer.
Rob, the problem with Marklin trailers is that it is not the same size as MTL's. They are just a little shorter. For me it just doesn't work. I already have a the MTL containers and I would like to have a uniformity look to all my containers.
Robert, I have been looking at Nensen Street web site for a while. I am specially interested in the stackers, but I am trying to find a picture of the real thing. Somehow, I thing the container would be too heavy for those stackers I am also looking at the stacker from sea rail. Those are really nice .

A serious Z scale collector who lives just a few miles from me came over to pick up a spine car kit. Last week he came over again and brought a selection of trailers and containers for me to try on the spine cars. One of the packages was the Marklin box of 20ft and 40ft containers and two trailers.

Just looking over the various trailers, we noticed that there were various lengths! I will get around to measuring and photographing them on the spine car and post here.

I have photographed the various items mentioned and tried some on the spine car. I will try to post them tonight.
