I know I have been accepted into the wifes family because my mother in law has just showed up for a visit with a box ful of train related goodies for me. Amongst the books and tins and pullman company towel are a couple of American Flyer items: 4-4-2 Engine very nice condition, seems to have smoke device in it. Tender with American flyer written and Reading stenciled on it. Illinois Central orange box car in really good condition. This stuff must be from 1945 to 1950's , but i'm guessing. Any good sites for Flyer info?
