I'm surprised I haven't seen this here yet, the new MT car, a "Railway Express Agency" steel refer. http://www.micro-trains.com/52010.htm (click to see) I don't know about you, but this is my next car. Even though I don't have steam passenger service, I believe it will truly become a classic and colectors item and is neat to look at, complete with new style trucks. this car alone could be a good reason to model a whole new spot on your layout. Maybe for an Agency car to park and unload..etc. [IMG]

According to my pusher ... er hobby shop, these things are selling like hot cakes. I reserved three and was told I'd be on the second order. The first wave was completely sold. Just hope I can get one, let alone three! I need a string to run behind my SAL E-6s. And you can bet I'm going to get my hands on one of the Southern boxcars!

The new MT Railway Express cars are almost identical to the ones Con-Cor produced about 6 years ago. I have two of the Con-Cor models, one in REA green and another in PRR
tuscan-red with PRR livery. The models I have do not have roof walks or hatches, but have the same plug door and sides but with other braking details. The trucks look identical.
They do look good heading up a string of passenger cars. Also found a metal REA delivery truck and some station baggage wagons which add a nice touch.
