I've been listening to old Gunsmoke radio shows. Their cigarette ads, regardless of what we know today, bring back memories such as these ads. Moreso than just model railroading scenes, helps revive some faded days of the past.
Tomkat, the continuously fantastic signs you have published make me want to go back to modeling just so that I could use some of them. I would model my childhood years back in the 1940's and '50's, and so many of them bring back memories of that time long ago. I had meant to comment on one several groups back: Beechnut gum, produced in Canajoharie, NY (pronounced Can-ja-harry by natives) along the New York Central west shore. :startled:
Jim- You should listen to some of the "old time radio" shows available. Many of them have not been edited and contain commercials for some of these items. Cigarettes, toothpaste, Ramblers and....
