Just in time to co-incide with my new layout, the importers/manufacturers have begun their quasi-,
semi- annual deluge of rolling stock in southeastern road names. Looks like the personal exchequer will take another mauling.

If you model the "Southeastern Coastal Six" and you know of other releases please feel free to tack them on this thread.

    ATHEARN GP-35 SAL #543, 540, and 535.
ATLAS Steel Rebuilds ACL #46683 and 46694.
    BLI NW-2 & SW-7 SAL #1410 and 1411 (NW-2)
    SOU #8202 and 8203 (sub. GS&F)
    INTERMOUNTAIN

1937 AAR 10' box car ACL #20000 series
    10-6" box CRR # 5200 series

Wood Reefer FGEX #32000 series (other "Our Companies" cars also available)
    F-7A RF&P # 1100
    F-7B RF&P # 1150
    F-3A SOU # 4171 & 4172 (Tuxedo)
    NC&StL #800's
    F-3B SOU # 4353 & 4355 (Tuxedo)
    NC&stL #900's
    FT-A/B SOU # 4100/4300 (green)
ACL # 300A/300B ("Black Maria" scheme)

That last (ACL) scheme is especially important to me. Now if we can just get other providors to do the "Black Marias" and give the purple & silver a rest for a while. After all, do them and that's most of the work for SCL units.

I am assuming all of these are HO? You can save a lot of money by moving to N where not much is produced. ;)

I thought there'd been some ACL and SAL diesels made by such as Atlas?

There are a few, but not much. I have a couple of Alco RS2/3 shells. But SAL and ACL are "fairly" scarce. Of course Southern is a bit more common. But since it is more common, it is not what I want!

I thought they'd done RS11, GP7(?), SD35 and more in SAL, plus at least a couple in ACL.

Actually I do have an SAL GP7 too. Since my layout is really pre-56, I have to be careful of the later models.

Sorry, should have specified that all are HO. Actually there were more N scale models several years ago. Over the years 'tho HO models for southeastern roads have far outnumbered N scale offerings. Which is to be expected seeing as how HO is so much larger in number of modellers than N.

Believe SAL has been rather sucessfully represented in HO. According to my count 25 of the 34 different diesel models SAL rostered have been offered in HO, vs. 7 or 8 in N. Yep, very happy to be in HO. Bet those guys who model the Georgia, TA&G and A&R are also - whoda thunkit!

But not time to quit yet. There are still a number of models to be done in ACLs "Black Maria" scheme and the 100 or so GP-35s in Southern high hood are still missing.
