Short video, no talking just railfanning the athearn oil train on the work in progress layout. Need trees badly, not sure what to do about it. made some wire ones but it seemed massively time consuming.

This is looking great so far. Trees are time consuming, that's one reason my current layout is northern Nevada - few trees. The Woodland Scenics tree kits seem OK for our California Oaks and go together more quickly. You really would not need to have too many to make the scene about right.

Added my first little scene, just some MOW workers to motivate me to get more done on the next modules.

Painted them, work crew just touch ups and the 'survey crew' were unpainted from a big assortment pack. I think I chose teenagers or college students, they are slightly shorter than the work crew (all Preiser figurines). Sort of works though, the work crew are big dudes.

I made the theodolite for the 'survey crew' (hikers are what I think they were supposed to be). Used brass wire, came out meh sort of ok, but I will make a better one soon with a top part that looks like a theodolite, not wire scrap with globs of paint.

Nice work. Love the tunnel and hills' I use to make trees but now you can buy them for just as cheap IMHO.
