    Hi everybody,

Does anybody know where I can get one of these? I recently bought a K4 and got it working but squirted one of the screws out of the tweezers in the process and it, of course, disappeared.

    Google didn't satisfy.

    Thanks,
    Doug

Gosh Doug, I wish I could help. I'm pretty sure I have no Minitrix steam parts, but I'll double check. :(

That's OK. Even though I know hardware for old N scale is scarce and I should be more careful with it, I still space it out once and a while and do something dumb like trying to hold it tight in a pair of tweezers and it squirts out. I get really mad every time I do it.

The saddest part is I used to be able to hold those little screws and such in my fingertips and manipulate them but my fingers have gotten much worse as far as dexterity and feeling so I have to resort more to using tools.

I know exactly what you're writing about Doug -- my dexterity and coordination is on the decline. I'm going to find an old pair of tweezers and dip the tips into a blob of caulk, wipe away the excess, let things dry and see if they grip items with less pressure.

Better material would be Liquid Tape. One of the many uses is dipping in tool handles to restore worn out or destroyed handle grips.
