I got the train room just about ready Mike! :D We'll be having some fun. Also their just may be a new O scaler this year! A cousin of mine, Frank, which collects O and HO scale. I believe he'll be at the controls of the O scale layout with his own loco's an cars.... As we "Mike (6206_S1a) and I" will have our trains in action on the HO scale layout an Frank's son with an HO train as well that he wants to run.... I do beleive is going to be a good "Fun Run" show... Anyone in the area, pop in an say hello, admission is free...

We'll have pictures to post of the show as the days pass...

Ok guys, here we go.... Pictures from the "Fun Run" train show for the Meyersdale Historical Society thats open to the public for the Meyersdale Maple Festival. Which happens once a year about this time. Anyone in the area this comming weekend, Friday through Sunday is more then welcome to stop in 10 AM till 5 PM, admission is free, as the Historical Society runs from donations to do these shows, but 3 times a year. The Maple Festival show, Meyersdale's 4th of July Celebration, and the biggest of all 3 shows, the Christmas Holiday traditional show. These are all shows done in conjunction with the town being other locations of town also have different activities an such. Here's what Mike and Myself had running this weekend, along with other stuff from the O scale layout as well, which was run by my cousin Frank.... ENJOY! :D

A picture of my EL-5 #7165 comming around the bend, off in the distance.... Which would not have taken long for her to creep up on the camera pretty fast.....

Another of my EL-5 #7165 entering the western end of the old wooden bridge....With the tender in Laden, I'm sure that bridge was squealing from the weight it was bearing....

Again, my EL-5 #7165 as its approaching the controls on the rear section straight-a-way...

an airal view of the EL-5 an train in tow... The Work train that I had made a thread about how each went to gether an such.... showing the power of the loco, with the length of that heavy train....

Here's a few more for eveyone as eye candy..... :D

The work train setting at the station waiting the the signal to change as the freight train that was on the #2 main had gotten a clear signal to proceed an the MOW train has yet to get an open mainline....

The on the point power of the freight train as it was on the the other end of the signal block awaiting its cleared signal as it was proceeding....

The same freight train as its passing the MOW train enroute..... The rear helper can be seen on the other side of the awaiting MOW train.... Which, was of B&O 2-10-2 power, as the head end power was a Western Maryland M-2 "4-6-6-4" Challenger...

A shot showing the helper services of the 2-10-2 after it had passed through the big wooden bridge....

Here we see another freight train as motove power was changed, 3 diesels hauling about the same train, if it wasn't the MOW train.... Which it doesn't show very well so, its possible to be either or train in tow.... GP-30 #6904 on the point, GP-30 #6950 in the middle, and SD-7 #774 on in the rear of the 3 unit lash up...

A good passing shot of the 3 unit lash up and picturing SD-7 #774....

As the train changed, so did the motive power along with the motive power cab numbers, here we see Mike's GP-30 #6950 hauling the MOW train with the help of my, SD-7 #774......

Here we see Mikes Atlas SD-35 #7435 doing the honors of being on the point hauling a solid unit train of Western Maryland hopper cars....

Then the motive power had changed once again, on the Western Maryland unit coal train, showing Mike's Atlas RS-3 doing the point honors.....

MOW train went from the outside #1 mainline to the inside #2 mainline.... Here we see Mike's S-1a #6200 on the point and my S-1a #6125 doubleheading the MOW..... With a CSX freight "in the hole" waiting for an open signal to proceed....

As the MOW train had cleared the signal, the CSX is now signaled to proceed with train.... This is a NEW Athearn Genesis SD-70M (I think on the point in the new CSX "Dark Future" paint sceme.....Alone and needing help in the consist....

With the help added I believe another SD-70M or even an SD-60M... (Not sure which Mike, help with these! :D )

Here we have a CSX SD-60M with the help of a regular old an weary CSX SD-60.... Working #2 inside mainline track....

Than another motive power change to Conrail's SD-60M, and a Conrail old an weary SD-60..... With a B&O GP-30 trying to over take the Conrail train in a race down the main line..... I think the GP-30 needs the throttle moved into notch 7.... as its struggling against the BIG more powerfull SD units....

But...the SD units took the lead an walked away from the older an wearier GP-30's as they're aging fast....

Then, to give those a break, Mike pulls the BIG Kato SD-80MAC out on the mainline for alittle action an camera fame.... Here Mikes SD-80MAC on the point of the B&O MOW train, wit hthe B&O EL-5 steamer pulled into the siding in the back section of the layout to give it a rest an let the 80MAC do the honors....

Then, SD-60M was switched an put on with the old Chessie GP-18M and slug to asist those loco's with extra mainline power, passing an empty siding....

Another head on, mikes Conrail SD-60M as it just clears the other end of the bridge....

and last but not least Mike's SD-80MAC with a head on shot as it had just cleared the other end of the bridge.....

and now some pictures of the O scale layout an what my cousin Frank had running.....

Heres a Willaims FA1, in Western Maryland #307 with another unit behind it Western Maryland #309, that was pulling around 30 cars....With a Western Maryland GP-7 #27 comming up beside the 2 FA units....

Another shot of the 2 FA units....

And now a picture of the Western Maryland GP-7 #27 working alone.... Passing a Pennsy passenger set setting in the hole waiting to be out on the mainline with 2 E-8's as its motive power....

And for the "thrill Seekers" again... here's a head on of one of the FA-1's....

As It will resume this Friday as well.... So... Their will be more pictures of this show posted (as I enjoy posting them an all.... And for everyones enjoyment thats seen it in person, and those who can't visit, they can see it online here at TrainBoard! Its hard to actually say what we may have running from time to time being we swap motive power an trains at any given time. (I'm hoping to have my B&O P-7 Pacific "President Washington" doing what the B&O done with her... hauling a decent B&O passenger train! So. I'm working on that to have it ready for this weekend! :D So. there will be more to come! [IMG] Thanks guys for the kind words!

My GP-30 #6904 setting at the signal awaiting on and open mainline to proceed....
With a passing CSX MOW "pumkin" train on the inside #2 mainline....

Mike's GP-30 #6950 and my SD-7 doing the honors on the inside mainline on a long coal drag... consisting of mostly Western Maryland hoppers an may have alot of B&O hoppers as well! Being we had put the 2 unit coal trains together to make one long coal train!

2 of Mike's locos doing the honors on the B&O MOW train...

Mike's RS-3 approaches the other end of the signal block....

    With the help of...

His B&O 2-10-2 on the rear keeping up the slack....

Then the loco's were switched an took the honors in pulling the B&O MOW.... 2 double headed S-1 "Big Sixes" 2-10-2's...

Then the RS-3 was switched, and the train got a new set of CSX SD-60's.....
