I've been on http://www.topozone.com looking at the maps of my hometown. They reveal quite a bit of useful information, but I have no idea when these topo maps were made. Does anyone have any idea as to when these maps were made? I think it may be in the 60's-70's era because it mentions L&N and Southern.
Individual USGS maps have a date on them, down at the bottom. What I see via your link is a different way of viewing, apparently all stitched together. You could also try this site: http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/topo/250k/#M
