I've tried my hand at making a route, but it was just a bit too complicated. SOOOO..., I would like to find routes such as UP's Donner Pass, CSX's West End or CP/CN's transcontinental routes., or just about any somewhat prototypical route, I LOVE MSTS ,but the only routes I've enjoyed was Marias Pass and Tokyo-Hakone, REAL MOUNTAIN RAILROADING! Thanks as always for the help guys. [IMG]

Head over to train-sim.com and download the Ohio & West Virginia route from Rich Garber. This is an excellent route based on the southern Ohio/West Virginia corridor.

Here's a list of the Routes and their locations that are available over at train-sim.com:

The Full Bucket Line - A small, fictional desert-style route including ten activities.

Newark & New Jersey Railroading (also known as the Hoboken Shores) -

Woodhead - UK-based Manchester to Woodhead Tunnel.

Gracity-Honste High Speed Line - An imaginary route, from the central city, Gracity to a place of interest, Hongste.

    Fantasy Yorkshire -

    Flatlands -

Chicago Elevated Railways - Self Explanatory

Spanish Route - A real route in west Catalonia from Lleida to La Pobla de Segur in the Pyrenees.

Seattle BNSF - This route goes from the Interbay yard just north of Seattle to Trinidad, Washington. The route is over Steven's Pass and is over 150 miles long.

Unterland - A semi-realistic route in northern Switzerland from Pfungen to Waldshut Tiengen and Oberglatt to Bulach and Rafz. Extension of the line from Bulach towards Zurich to Oberglatt.

Ohio & West Virginia - Formerly given the project name of Bodiddly RR, the Ohio & West Virginia Railroading package based on Allen McClelland's famed HO V&O is here. Approximately 150 miles of tracks this route represents mountain railroading. Two routes make up the Ohio & West Virginia.

Ferrocarril Central - A fictitious line with Spanish character.

Illinois Central - An accurate representation of the IC around Decatur, Illinois in 1978.

Sea View 1 - An extreme fantasy route connecting a series of island communities. The many turns and steep grades make this a low speed route.

Port Ogden and Northern - A fictional route with mountain grades, branch lines, mining, logging, farming and oil industries.

Cow Creek Canyon - A section of the former SP Siskiyou Line now operated by Central Oregon and Pacific RR (CORP). This route covers the approximately 70 miles from Glendale, OR to Wilbur. It includes the tunnels and wonderful scenery of CC Canyon. A prototype work with a lot more work needed.

Whitefish - BN route from Whitefish, MT to Sandpoint, ID.

Central Wisconsin - This is a section of a former C&NW line between the towns of Lodi and Reedsburg in Central Wisconsin. There's about 30 miles of mainline through a scenic area of Wisconsin that includes six towns, and a major industrial complex.

Modern England - This is a ficticious route for MSTS. It contains about 120 miles of electric line and will take about 40 minutes to travel, excluding stops. The route also contains a variety of scenery ranging from city, to rural, to switching yards, in order to accomodate a variety of activities.

East Metro RR - A fictious route with activities depicting a bridgeline between Big City and Titan City. Previous users will recognize this route as Number 11 expanded now to a length between 30 and 40 miles. Industries include oil, coal, inter-modal, etc.

Rocky Islands - This fictional route combines coasts, mountains and underwater tunnels. A mainline coastal route connects to a single-track island route.

NewWorld - The route is about 40 miles long and has a couple of good freight yards in it as well as a couple of mountains and tunnels. Just like the original it is an imaginary route which was designed just as an experiment in route building, and to act as a break from the routes that came with the game. It originally started out as a Montreal - Toronto Route but due to difficulties with the editor it became what it is today.

Cliff Hanger - A mountain route for the fearless: those with vertigo should stay away! This fictional mountain route tests your driving abilities, the performance of the rolling stock in difficult conditions, track laying methods and steep terrain shapes. Includes complete but undecorated route; route map; simple activities.

There are also the following commercial routes available:

    Kicking Horse Pass - www.mapleleaftracks.com
    Modern Tehachapi Pass - www.3dtrainstuff.com
