Hi everyone! Now that I have my MT track, I need to break in my MT loco's since they haven't been run yet. Any certain way to break them in for better and longer running? [IMG]

If you are talking about the GP 35, I am interested too as mine will be on the way shortly. I am rather proficient with marklin steam, in so much as lubing and cleaning and breaking them down, but this one I am curious to see what needs to be done as well.

From what I understand, the GP35 runs smoother and quieter than the MTL F7, so break in time should be minimal. My two F7's are noisy.

Mine Ran well from the start, but it needed couple hours of running before it could haul 15 cars up in a 2 percent grade. I would just run it forward and backward just to make sure I didn't get a dud.

I ran mine forward 1/2 hour, then backwards 1/2 hour to burn mine in. The motor was not even warm, but still cold to the touch! :D
