I'm getting ready to do my test pour. Then tomorrow I should be ready to fill my canal with that good stuff.
I admire the way your work Candy, with a good plan and careful deliberation as you proceed. Testing various shades of canal bed color is really smart. I mean, how else might you know what you'll get? Better to take some time to go this route than to irreversibly ruin your project. By the way, I found that UK Bronze Green was a color originally formulated for British post boxes in the early-to-mid 1800s.
I was thinking it was close to BRG (British Racing Green) during the sports car racing era of the 1950's. When Stirling Moss and Jaguar were winning races on the international circuit. Though, now that I see the photo, BRG was a much darker green. Candy, you colors will make a lovely canal, very subtle.
I know British Racing Green was dark and I liked it. But, the picture is black on my monitor. I'll wait and see how Candy's trials work out. I am curious about how it works.
UK Bronze Green wins! I have painted over the black base and, because it is a polyurethane, I had to wait 12 hours before I could proceed. I waited even longer. It looks so good even without the resin!
