OMG! I have made the same exact mistake, and when I seen you hover over your self healing pad, exactly like I did with a heat gun... Let's just say i never got my self healing pad to flatten out, and I did eventually find a method the flatten out a roof, boil a pot of water and pour in a coffee cup, soak the roof in it for 20 seconds pull out and flatten, repeat if necessary.
