Keller OnBoard, DCC or ??? N scale getting started

    You know, I just came to the conclusion that it really don't matter what scale you model in, it all really boils down to your eyes, and what you can see vs the space you have to model. I model Z Scale, but I omit lots and lots of details that the prototype has. Then I go the train shows and see these beautiful HO layouts and look as a boxcar model, and I see all those details I skip on my models. Nut bolt washer details, builders logos, nail holes, etc.

    Haha! So I figure those guys who complain "I Can't See It" when they look at N and Z scale models are lying, because they are putting on nut bolt washer level details on their HO and O models.

    Now the electronics are different. Those tiny Pi, Arduino, and other SBC's pack in all the detail and more than their full size counterparts of the good old days did, and they just keep getting better, cheaper, and smaller.

    Sounds like my early exposure to these type computers which was a DEC PDP8 and PDP11, that was 1982. Yikes! I'm old!
