Is the Kato frame in the picture below from a really old run or do they still use them? How does one add DCC? I’m not even worried about sound at this point given the room to work with but there doesn’t even seem to be a board to wire up to. Was planning on making this a Santa Fe bookend but might just cut my losses. TC.
Doesn't look like that would be a hard install. You would can use the light boards or make some .... .... like I did on the Atlas GP35 above and ( HERE ). Brad who has a great site used.... ... the light boards. His install is ( HERE ). TCS decoders that replace the light boards either the CN or CNGP would also probably work. They save some of the soldering but you can drop another decoder like Brad or I did for a lot less and maybe even better engine control like an under $30 ESU decoder.
