Hey people, are Kato turnouts (#6) electrically isolated?? I was testing an atlas controller/selector to see if I could get 2 different trains to turn. For some reason I'm getting no power before "electric isolated" area?

    What am I doing wrong??

    Thanks!!

The inner rail on each route after the switch is power routed internally, so the deselected route is not powered through the switch.

The outer rails are continuous, and thus both are powered, regardless of the switch route selected.

So you have to separately wire power to both routes if you need them to work even when not selected via the switch.

Depends on where your power ins going into the rails at but generally yes.
