    Would the KATO GE C44-9W (N Scale) be compatible with any DCC decoders?

    Sure! It just depends on how you define "compatable". As far as I know, there are no decoder/light board swaps yet. But I have installed many decoders, and I would recommend the Digitrax DZ121. It's the smallest 1-amp decoder, and has back EMF. All you have to do is notch the frame yourself, or Aztec Mfg. has replacement frames already milled. Let me know if you need help. MOPAC 1

    Here's another source you might want to try:ttx-dcc.com It's Tony's Train Exchange and they do a lot of dcc decoder installations and have lots of pictures of installations.

    I don't think John @ Aztec is milling frames for -9's.
