I've heard some rumors that the C44-9W shipments should be in the dealers this week. Can anyone verify this yet? ------------------ Ed Harrison Ed's Mental Cab Ride

I understand they are currently shipping to distributors. Once they get them, they ship to the retailers. Might be another week or so... ------------------ Mark Weiher Trainboard Member #60 Frequent Visitor to The Loop ATSF/BNSF Fan & Modeller

picked up the dash9's today.they look and run great.the new white led really makes a big difference.but like the snoots it turns blue.my question is how much yellow paint do i put on it?and also if i cut the rear led out do i need to connect the pieces that are left hanging out to complete the circut or will the engine run ok without the led in it? ------------------ anyone need a car call ed pinkley, home of the pinkley taurus.
A few days ago i was at the Kato page and saw the pics of the models and thought for some reason they were the HO models... I was like "you have to be kidding me!" ie in reference to level of detail... than i realized they were the N models! They do look nice though i will admit.

Also, I am 90% sure the loco will run with out the rear light. ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. Remove the LED by unsoldering it along with it's resistor if you are comfortable with doing it. Then use them in another loco. Otherwise, just clip the LED out. DO NOT connect across the missing LED - you will just short out the board, your loco will not run, and damage to the board and shell may result. If anything, it would make immeasurable improvement to reverse running due to less resistance (not that the resistance/current drain of the LED circuit was great to start with). Mine was shipped to me today, and I can hardly wait to see it. Of course I want to run it more. Modern diesels are the best thing going, and this is a great one. Art
I got my order today, the number boards where a nice touch, but Kato still needs to take notes from the Atlas number boards. Now I just hope the prices for decoders comes down, $40-45 a pop for the 9's is going to add up quickly.
