Jennifer You may want to consider also the Lenz LE007XF, LE010XF and the Digitrax DZ121. All are less expensive than the "plug N play" decoder, the first one less than half as much. There is room for all three in the C44-9 without any frame modification, however you do have to lose the rear light and do some soldering. Daryl
