Ground down with a standard bench grinder, then finished with motor tool.The valve gear is heald inplace by two plastic pieces molded in the mechanism. You can pry them out. They will come apart. One grey and one black piece. The grey piece remails conect to the side rod.
I made a huge boo boo. I wanted to use the Kato 4-8-4 to make a C&O Greenbriar #600. Well, the drivers are spoked drivers on the 600 and the Kato has vox pox drivers. Ah oh! Well, I guess I will just have to make a 614 too...
