Anyone have any updates on the following ??? Rapido Turbo Train Lowell Smith AFT Tool Car Bluford Shops Bay Windows Doing alot of drooling hear, but haven't heard anything on release dates yet.
The Lowell Smith AFT car is due 4th Qtr of 2018. According to information from his website. Have one on order to complete my train. An exact date is not listed at this time.
Bluford shows that the bay window cabooses are "postponed pending set up at our new factory". They got caught up in the Chinese factory closure I'll bet. I'm looking forward to these cabooses as well.
Here is the direct quote from the latest Rapido newsletter (which I think came out sometime in August). "The N scale Turbotrain is in production now at the LRC factory and we expect the entire shipment to leave the factory in early September." I would venture a guess that would mean mid to late October availability?
Bluford Shops have some test shots of the new caboose on their web site. Per their web page "projected delivery dates are now “To Be Determined.”" http://www.bluford-shops.com/index.html I have two the P&LE bay window cabooses on pre-order. Not sure if we'll still see them first quarter next year, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Rapido Trains is quite good with their updates... they are still projecting "Fall 2018" for the Turbo release. They are a major sponsor of the Greater Toronto Train Show which comes up this weekend. It's entirely possible that there would be early copies of the finished TurboTrain product. I'm hoping to be there but won't be able to do photos live since I get like .01G cell service up there.
