I picked it up at a yard sale some time back.
It was a bit on the expensive side, But the second I saw it I knew it would be perfect for a small Z Scale Layout.
I found part of a card tucked into the interior lining with "www.guitarcenter.com" on it which I guess is where it was originally bought from.

    Ranch House Kit #1

A Ranch House kit by "Paw of a Bear"
This was a fun kit to build. It is well designed nicely detailed laser cut kit with 6 pages of easy to follow directions. The laser cut parts fit together near perfect. Nice snug fit with little to no modification necessary.
It's available in both Right and Left hand models. And it includes a few extra parts my favorite of which is a choice of different stile doors and windows that can be configured Open, Closed, or somewhere in the middle.

I only had 2 issues with the kit both of which were my own fault.
First I spilled a glass of water on the base which warped almost instantly.
2nd I started gluing down the shingles too soon. The roof warped a little creating a slight gap between the top of the walls and the bottom of the roof.
Had I given it a day to dry I don't think this would have happened. Again this was my fault not that of the kit.

The drive way trim I cut from some scraps I had laying around.
The driveway itself will be getting gravel or maybe Black toped at a later date.

Azalea House a Stonebridge Models kit

    Another fun Kit to build
I used a 12v yellow LED connected to a 9v battery to light the interior for the pictures.
But I think it's still too bright I'll have to play around with a few different LED's to find one that's not quite so bright before it goes into the modual

I doubt you have a sand blaster, but if you did, blasting the bulb a bit will dull the shine and subdue the glow a bit.

Light sanding with a fine-grit sandpaper will accomplish the same effect.

Yes, Thom, light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper will have the same effect as the sand blaster - but the sand blaster is more fun. ;-)
